New Year, New Look for the Discseel® Procedure!

A new year is a time for a fresh start, and we’re doing that with a brand new look for the Discseel® Procedure! Our main goal of providing people with a solution to heal annular tears remains the same, but as we expand to bring this procedure to even more people, we’ve decided to modernize our look.

Background of The Discseel® Procedure

The Discseel® Procedure was developed by Kevin Pauza, M.D., and was inspired by the way our bodies naturally heal. When you get a cut, your body begins the healing process, using oxygen-rich red blood cells to help build new tissue. The cells are then instructed to create collagen and other tissues to help with the healing process.

Dr. Pauza knew that the spinal discs, which cushion the vertebrae, are the most common cause of lower back pain. When discs are bulging, herniated, or degenerated, the bottom line is that the spinal disc has annular tears that need to be healed. This is why Dr. Kevin Pauza was inspired to create a procedure that could accelerate the natural healing processes and be applied to the spinal disc to heal annular tears. He took the biological components that work to heal cuts and applied them to these tears to heal them naturally.

The fact that the Discseel® Procedure allows the spine to heal annular tears naturally is what makes this procedure so simple and inventive. In fact, it’s the only spine treatment in the world that is able to do this.

How It Heals Spinal Discs

The Discseel® Procedure is very simple and only requires an injection into the torn spinal discs. The biologic then seals the spinal discs and encourages them to create new tissue to heal annular tears. This is why Dr. Kevin Pauza chose to name this procedure “Discseel®”.

Initial recovery from this procedure only takes about 60 minutes and patients can avoid the complications associated with surgical procedures that require implanting hardware into the spine.

Over the course of the year following the procedure, the spinal disc will return to the height it was prior to becoming symptomatic. New disc tissue replaces the old disc tissue, as the body would do with any other cut, and patients can quickly get back to their lives without lengthy rehabilitation.

Who’s a Candidate?

Wondering if you’re a candidate for the Discseel® Procedure? We consider anyone with low back pain to be a potential candidate. Anyone who wants to avoid surgery or even someone who has had surgery is a potential candidate for this procedure as well.

If you’ve been living with back or neck pain and have almost forgotten what it’s like to live a pain-free life, apply for the Discseel® Procedure and find out if you’re an optimal candidate! Our goal is to treat people with the least amount of recovery time, least cost, and with no harm. We want to allow people to get back to their active lifestyle or simply their normal, everyday life as quickly as possible.

If you’re ready to stop being held back by your pain, it’s time to apply for the Discseel® Procedure!
